Cowardly and disgusting. Are truthfully the only appropriate words to be utilized to describe Regency International. In over 5 years worth of experiencing different pageant systems, I have never been disrespected the way this system has. From the disorganization to social media defamation it is crucial you choose a system that is willing to withhold the values of integrity.

A few girls that I coach as well as myself were invited by the new director, Emily Costa, who took over the reigns for California Regency International beginning with their 2025 pageant, and it was very clear that there was a great deal of thoughtfulness from Emily's own pageantry career that was put into the competition, leading to a very well-run event. Certain highlights included the following: • Well-communicated transparency in regards to the judging process and judges selection, allowing for a very fair contest. Lack of prior interaction between judges and contestants was well enforced and the panel had a great deal of weighted credibility. • Very affordable entry fees compared to similar pageant systems with a good prize package and opportunities to continue on at the International level. A definite plus for those that are newer to pageantry. • Multiple ages as well as specialty divisions exist, allowing for very inclusive participation. There is even a Mister division for the men! • The ability to participate in optional contests made the event further accessible to newer contestants. Some of these optionals include Swimwear, Athletic wear, and one particular event that received strong public response, Spokesmodel, which really gave participants the opportunity to really share and inspire their audience and peers. • Camaraderie amongst contestants was very strong and the event facilitated a culture that genuinely promoted the experience of sisterhood moreso than the contest itself. The participants are part of group chats moderated by past winners and the level of sportsmanship demonstrated by participants is highly commendable. There are also fun curated events prior to the competition including a pajama party that serves as a great icebreaker for those seeking a sense of community. • Emily herself has invested a lot of her personal energy into injecting value into the pageantry experience, whether through offering personal mentoring, providing useful resources, or securing sponsors that can impart helpful wisdom and education towards all the participants. There are no favorites and everyone feels truly welcomed. It is remarkable to see that many of her 2025 contestants have chosen to return in 2026 and have continued their foray into pageantry. Overall, if you are looking for a gateway into the world of pageants and would like to try your hand at competing for an official state title, I would highly recommend California Regency International! Just signed my daughter up, she is little miss Northern California and competing for state in March. The director has been very helpful and a great communicator. It’s been being involved in community events like the down town Sacramento Christmas parade. Looking forward to the state competition.
